Albert “Bert” Goles Alba Sr., 96, of Naalehu died June 21 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kilauea, Kauai, he was a retired harvesting supervisor for the former Hutchinson Sugar Co. Private services. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Albert Alba Jr. of Hilo and Ronald (Karen) Alba of Kaneohe, Oahu; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces, and cousins. Harland “Uncle Handsome” Ross Reed, 69, of Waimea died June 26 at home. Born in Kahuku, Oahu, he was a retired teamster driver for the motion picture industry.
